Defining the Relational Grammar of Pictorial Janus - a Case Study

| In this paper we present an approach for de ning the formal syntax of Pictorial Janus (PJ). We apply relational grammars for de ning the context{ free grammar including the topological relationships between PJ primitives. We introduce four di erent topological relations which are demonstrated to be su cient for de ning the full topological relations between PJ primitives.
